Spa 901 has one full-time position open for a qualified Esthetician to join our team commencing December, 2019.

Awarded one of “Top 25 Spas in Canada” in the 2016-2017 Canadian Spa and Wellness awards, Spa 901 is the perfect place to start your practice within Fernie. We pride ourselves in offering our estheticians everything needed to build a successful practice including: five spacious treatment rooms, two esthetic suites, reception, marketing, linens, a large and existing client base, as well as a professional and supportive team.

Requirements

In order to be considered for a position, you must be a person who:

  • Has completed certification from a recognized esthetics program
  • Is dedicated to excellence and an exemplary guest experience
  • Is an excellent communicator with both guests and team members
  • Practices professionalism and discretion with guests at all times
  • Handles challenges with poise, grace, and sound judgment
  • Is flexible and able to work when there is demand; weekend, evening and holiday availability is required to be considered for a position.

Spa 901 has one immediate full-time position open for a BC Registered Massage Therapist.

We pride ourselves in offering our massage therapists everything needed to build a successful practice including: five spacious treatment rooms, reception, marketing, linens, a large and existing client base, as well as a professional and supportive team.

We are looking for a professionally trained massage therapist who:

  • Is dedicated to excellence and an exemplary guest experience
  • Is an excellent communicator with both guests and team members
  • Practices professionalism and discretion with guests
  • Handles challenges with poise, grace, and sound judgment
  • Must be flexible and able to work when there is demand, weekend, evening and holiday availability is required in order to be considered for a position.  (Closed Christmas and New Years Day)

Qualifications:

  • Completion and certification of recognized and qualified educational establishment.
  • Membership and good standing with a recognized and accredited association, ability to issue receipts for massage therapy in the province of British Columbia.
  • Additional training or interest in learning other body work modalities an asset but not required
  • CPR certification an asset.

We are seeking a make-up artist to join our event styling team for weddings and special events in 2020. This role is to support the company, offering services on-site at Spa 901 and on-location in the surrounding area of Fernie.

Responsibilities and Requirements: 

  • Passionate about the beauty industry and enjoys interacting with the brides and clients on special occasions.
  • Strong communication and problem solving skills
  • Patient with a positive attitude and artistic personality
  • Determining the correct material and application according to lighting, setting, client requests etc.
  • Ability to prioritize in face paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Must obtain and maintain your own make-up kit, tools & supplies
  • Must pride yourself on being up-to-date on the latest make-up trends and techniques.
  • Applying simple and complex makeup as required
  • Must have a vehicle and be flexible to work early hours and on weekends

Education:

Completed schooling for Make-up application, cosmetology or esthetics. Hairstyling experience is an asset

This is contract work and is casual. We provide a commission based and/or hourly compensation package with tips, travel and kit allowances.
